Leaders fan out for New Year tours

VGP – Vietnamese leaders often fanned out to localities to extend best wishes to people on the occasion of the lunar new year festival.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong paid a visit to the Party, government and people of Ha Noi on January 28, the first day of the lunar new year with his hope that the city would succeed in completing all tasks of 2017.

He also offered incense to King Ly Thai To at the Ly Thai To Garden, visited Ngoc Son Temple and King Le Thai To’s Monument in Nam Huong Temple historical relic site.

The same day, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the central city of Da Nang to express his new year greetings to the local people.

He asked the city to continue proving itself as a worth-living and peaceful tourism destination.

The Government chief said hosting the APEC high-level leaders’ week would be a golden opportunities for Da Nang to further boost tourism and foreign investment inflows into the city.

Earlier on January 24, Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh came to Nam Dinh province to present new year gifts to poor households and policy beneficiaries, a move that reflects the Party and State leaders’ care for the poor throughout the country.
