Leaders congratulates Cuba’s National Day and Palestine’s Revolutionary Day
VNGOP – On the 49th anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Cuba (January 01, 1959-January 01, 2008), Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh, State President Nguyễn Minh Triết and PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng separately extended their congratulations to Mr. Fidel Castro Ruz, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC) Central Committee cum President of the Council of State and the Council of Ministers of Cuba, and Mr. Raul Castro Ruz, Second Secretary of the CPC Central Committee cum First Vice President of Cuba’s Council of State and the Council of Ministers, on December 31.

On the occasion, NA Chairman Nguyễn Phú Trọng and Deputy PM, FM Phạm Gia Khiêm sent their messages of greetings to Mr. Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada, President of the Cuban National Assembly of People’s Power, and FM Felipe Pérez Roque.
On the same day, State President Nguyễn Minh Triết sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian National Authority, on the 43rd anniversary of Palestine’s Revolutionary Day (January 01, 1965-January 01, 2008).
