Leaders congratulate Chinese counterparts on National Day

VGP – Vietnamese leaders have extended congratulations to Chinese counterparts on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the National Day of China (October 1, 1949-October 1, 2019).

In their congratulatory messages, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan congratulated China on its great achievements during the past seven decades.

The Vietnamese leaders expressed their wish that Chinese people will continue gaining greater achievements to develop China into a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, civilized, harmonious and beautiful, making practical contributions to peace, stability and prosperity in the region and the world.

They emphasized that the long-lasting friendship between people of the two nations is the precious asset that should be nurtured and maintained to create solid foundation for national development in both countries in the future.

The Vietnamese leaders also affirmed that the Party, State and people of Viet Nam always keep in mind the valuable support and assistance of China for Viet Nam’s national liberation cause, attaching importance to the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

They expressed their wish to work with Chinese counterparts to continue consolidating the neighboring friendship, deepening cooperation for mutual benefits, satisfactorily controlling and settling the remaining issues on the basis of respect for mutual legitimate interests and international law.

On the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, head of Viet Nam-China Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation also extended congratulations to Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, head of the China-Viet Nam Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation./.
