Late Party leader Do Muoi laid to rest

VGP – Members of his family, Party and State leaders and people paid last farewell to late Party General Secretary Doi Muoi at the memorial service on Sunday at the National Funeral Home in Ha Noi, which was followed by procession to the burial site in his home town.

Addressing the memorial service, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said Do Muoi was "outstanding and prestigous" leader of our people.

As an excellent disciple of President Ho Chi Minh, Do Muoi wholeheartedly devoted his life to the Party, the Fatherland, the revolutionary cause, and the people.

Do Muoi's death is a great loss to the Party, State, people and his family, said Party chief Trong.

The same day, Do Muoi made his final trip to his home town - Dong My Commune, Thanh Tri District, Ha Noi where he rests in peace./.
