Chairwoman of the HCM City People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam (R) and head of the Economic, Technology and Environment Committee of the Lao National Assembly Bounpone Sisoulath.

At the reception, Boupone Sisoulath thanked the Vietnamese National Assembly and Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council for sharing experience in parliamentary activities with Laos, adding that his nation is drafting a law on land management, which is of both nations' concern to ensure national development as well as the people’s interests.

Land management is a complex issue for Laos especially when it is facing a growing rapidly population and limited land fund.

He told his guest that he wishes to learn from the HCM City People’s Council's experience  in this field in the future.

In turn, Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam expressed hope that experience exchange between the Lao delegation and the General Department of Land Administration under the Viet Nam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will help the National Assembly of each side to fine-tune its land management law.

She noted with joy the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Viet Nam and Laos.
