Lam Dong region master scheme by 2035, with vision to 2050 ratified

VGP – Lam Dong Province will be formed and developed to become an economic impetus of the Central Highlands with synchronous and modern infrastructure system by 2035, with a vision to 2050.

Lam Dong Province

The PM has approved Lam Dong region master scheme by 2035, with a vision to 2050. 

The province, located on the area of 9,783.34 square meters, includes Da Lat City and Bao Loc City and 10 districts. 

By 2015, the province will consist of 19 urban areas, including one Grade 1 city (Da Lat City), one Grade 2 city (Bao Loc City), six Grade 4 cities and 11 Grade 5 cities.  

Regarding the development of agriculture, Lam Dong Province will become a research center and high-tech agricultural production and an agricultural production region with high value, heading to ranking first in Viet Nam in agricultural production, the largest fruits and vegetables production cluster in Southeast Asia, taking the lead in agricultural tourist destination in Viet Nam and the key human resources training and agricultural research in the Central Highlands.   

A number of high-tech agricultural areas and agricultural production region with high-tech application will be formed in line with the development of flower villages, traditional villages, the establishment of green urban villages and agricultural tourist models.
