Joining efforts to develop the special long-standing VN-Laos relationship

VNGOP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng made the emphasis on July 16 in Hà Nội while receiving Mr. Bounnhang Vorachith, Politburo member, standing member of the Secretariat of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, and Vice State President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, who is attending the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic tie establishment and the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Việt Nam–Laos Friendship and Cooperation Agreement.

PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stressed that, in the context of complex changes in the region and the world, the anniversaries solemnly celebrated by the two countries are significant events, expressing the two parties and States' determination to boost the Việt Nam-Laos close relationship and comprehensive cooperation.

The Government head pointed out that the Vietnamese Party and Government pledge to follow the consistent policy to cement and deepen the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties and States at a new height, for the sake of the two peoples and contributing to the prosperity and stability in the region. “We should hold hands and join efforts in caring for our people's life and developing our countries in a sustainable and rapid way”, the PM confirmed.

Lao Vice President Bounnhang Vorachith praised the special solidarity as an invaluable tradition of the two parties, two states and two peoples. Extending his gratitude to the Vietnamese Party, State and people's great assistance over the past 45 years, Vice President Bounnhang Vorachith asserted that Việt Nam is Laos's exemplary loyal friend. He affirmed that the Lao Party, State and people always pay respect to and will do their utmost to strengthen the solidarity and cooperation with Việt Nam.
