The dialogue focuses on Việt Nam’s infrastructure and policies on investment projects inside and outside of industrial parks (IPs); loans and assistant services for enterprises operating inside and outside IPs; and tax incentives.

According to Mr. Phan Hữu Thắng, FIA Director, Japan is now one of Việt Nam’s leading investors with over 1,100 projects and the total cumulative registered capital of US $17 billion.

An advantage of Việt Nam is its powerful contingent of hard-working labor force.

However, Mr. Saburo Onoki, Director of the Aichi Investment and Trade Bureau stated that, foreign enterprises, when doing business in Việt Nam, have faced many difficulties relating to infrastructure, electricity, transport, administrative procedures and tax policies.

Showing his interest in electric and water supplies, seaport and road conditions, Mr. Eiji Tominaga, Director of DENSO Việt Nam, expected that the Government will have more drastic actions and assign specific competent agencies to improve infrastructure.

Mr. Thắng asserted that Việt Nam will continue to perfect its legal system, upgrade infrastructure, and encourage different forms of investment, especially public-private partnership and BOT.

The Government always listens to investors’ recommendations in order renew mechanisms and policies, so as to increase attractiveness of Việt Nam’s business environment, said the FIA Director.

Aichi investors are mainly doing business in some industrial parks in Hà Nội, Hải Phòng and Bắc Ninh.
