VNGOVNet – The PM agreed on March 1 with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to act on behalf of the Vietnamese Government in requesting the Japanese Government provide three devices worth of US$ 46,000 as a nonrefundable aid to the Project "Realizing Initiative-3R in Hanoi City for sustainable social development."

March 02, 2007 8:01 AM GMT+7

The PM assigned the Hanoi People’s Committee to receive those devices under the current stipulations.

The Project “Realizing Initiative-3R in Hanoi City for sustainable social development" to build a 3R system: reducing, reusing and recycling garbage. The Project’s target is to establish a harmonious 3R system based on the programs to classify organic garbage on spot and promote the domestic garbage classification at home. The Project was started in Phan Chu Trinh Ward (Hoàn Kiếm District) in November 2006 and will last for three years. The investment of US$ 3 million comes from nonrefundable ODA of the Japanese Government.
