Accordingly, stage 2 will start in August 2008 and last for three years. It targets to diversify modes of assisting tax payers and consolidate the training system to qualify tax staff.
In stage 1 (from August 2005), many positive achievements have been gained, especially in improving capacity of tax staff in assisting tax payers, tax auditing and professional training. Almost most of provincial-level taxation offices have carried out workshops on taxation administrative reforms and modernization. They have also realized the “one-stop shop” regime to guarantee legitimate interests and obligations of tax payers.
