Following the MoU, the Japanese center will send its doctors and technicians to Viet Nam to assist the Vietnamese hospital in diagnosing, surgery and treatment. The center has also pledged to receive and financially support Vietnamese doctors and technicians to come to Japan for training.

The training course will be in one year. And every year, there will be one doctor, one nurse and one technician to come to Japan.

Kanagawa Prefecture is one of Japan’s leading localities in healthcare with advanced technology and medical techniques. The prefecture has signed cooperation MoUs with universities and medical centers in the US and Singapore.

At the moment, Da Nang City has cooperated with five cities of Japan, namely Kawasaki, Sakai, Mitsuke, Nagasaki, Yokohama. It’s working on cooperation potentials with Kobe, Yaidu, Fukuoka và Ohtawara.

Japan has been providing a number of medical help for the Vietnamese city since 2010.

Notably, Japanese experts have trained caregivers and midwives of the Da Nang Hospital for Women and Children under a project of the Asian Urban Information Centre of Kobe from 2012 to 2015. Leaders of the hospital have also made short-term visits to the country to learn their experience./.
