The overview of the workshop on launching the Regional and Provincial Hospital Development Project phase II

Earlier, the Vietnamese and Japanese Governments signed a credit agreement under which Japan provides ¥ 8.693 billion in official development assistance for the project.

The project will be carried out in ten provinces including Binh Dinh, Lam Dong, Ninh Thuan, Nghe an, Da Nang, Bac Giang, Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Tay Ninh and Thai Binh.

Under the project, 10 hospitals in the aforesaid localities will be upgraded to enable them to provide high-quality medical examination and treatment for local people.

The project is also expected to reduce the overloaded status for central hospitals.

The first phase of the project, which was implemented from October 2008 to May 2011, brought a lot of benefits. The total capital for the project is estimated at ¥ 10.1 billion.
