Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh and Italian Deputy Minister for Economic Development Andrea Cioffi sign the MoU

The MoU signing is part of of the Vietnamese Minister’s working visit to Europe in a bid to promote economic cooperation between Viet Nam and Italy and other European countries.

The both sides concurred to implement the MoU immediately in parallel with considering cooperation in other areas, while realising the results reached by leaders of both countries during the Italian PM’s recent visit to Viet Nam.

At their talks earlier the same day, the two sides agreed to enhance economic and trade partnership bilaterally as well as at regional and local levels, especially through the signing and ratification of the EVFTA and the EVIPA.

Minister Anh recalled the positive results reached between two countries during Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s visit to Viet Nam in early June.

He noted that such results will be the basis for ministries including the Ministry of Industry and Trade to continue to carry out activities to foster bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Latter the same day, Minister Tran Tuan Anh held a working session with Confindustria, the main association representing manufacturing and service companies in Italy, in order to boost bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
