The ceremony to release special commemorative stamp on the occasion of the 150th birthday anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi takes place in Ha Noi on October 2, 2019.
The introduction of the stamp set aims to honor Gandhi’s idea on peace and non-violence as well as his great contributions to national liberation of India and to the Viet Nam-India relations.

Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 and became the leader of India’s independence movement through his non-violent approach.

Earlier, the Viet Nam Post issued five sets of stamp on India in 1982, 1989, 1996 and 2018./.
