The “To the Origin” program 2008 is one of big tourist events

According to the GSO, international tourists from China reached over 145,000 turns ( 52.2%), followed by the Republic of Korea (about 95,000) and the United States (89,000).

The number of visitors from high-income countries considerably rocketed, especially from Sweden (60%) and Finland (46%).

Over the past two months, many expos and tourist promotion programs have been opened in many cities throughout the country, such as the National Tourist Year Mekong-Cần Thơ; the “To the Origin” Program 2008 in Yên Bái, Phú Thọ and Lào Cai.

This year, the tourist sector targets to welcome 4.8-5 million turns of foreign visitors, up 16.7-19% against 2007, and earn VND 62-64 trillion.
