VGP – The 10th East Sea International Conference themed “Cooperation for regional security and development” was kick-started on November 8 in Da Nang.

November 08, 2018 3:23 PM GMT+7

The conference was jointly hosted by the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam (DAV), the Foundation for East Sea Studies (FESS), and the Viet Nam Lawyers’ Association (VLA).

It attracted 220 delegates including 89 foreign scholars, 31 representatives from 22 foreign representative offices in Viet Nam, and nearly 100 domestic scholars.

Addressing the conference, DAV Director Nguyen Vu Tung said that after 10 years the conference has already formulated a stable agenda framework; set up a network with international scholars on the East Sea; and contributed to raising awareness of policy makers.

Mr. Tung called upon scholars and experts to uphold the frank, subjective, scientific spirit and make accurate suggestions for relevant governments to work together in favor of regional peace, stability and development./.
