Int’l banking conference and expo held in Hà Nội
VGP - An international conference and expo on IT development and application into banking activities, “Risk Management and Banking Development in the Global Economic Downturn”, was held from May 28-29 in Hà Nội with the presentation of 35 prominent speakers.

The event focused on three urgent issues: improving banking technology infrastructure, ensuring IT security and safety, and modernizing and developing advanced payment services and utilities.
These are the biggest concerns of banks in Việt Nam in the process of strengthening the connectivity of the whole banking system, modernizing services, and edging competitiveness to narrow gaps with international banks.
Thirty-five scientists, administrators, experts and entrepreneurs operating in finance, banking, securities and IT sectors made presentations about the issues.
“Banking Vietnam 2009 Hanoi” was jointly held by the Informatics Department of the State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV) and the International Data Group (IDG).
