Disabled children will be treated on free of charge

ADB worked with the Study Encouragement Society of Hà Nam to grant new eleven scholarships in order to help poor children complete education.

Those pupils will annually receive the financial assistance until their maturity or completing their study.

Individuals will yearly receive VND 1.8 million at primary level, VND 2.7 million at secondary, and VND 7 million at tertiary.

So far, 32 among 118 recipients in the province have benefited from ADB-initiated scholarship program.

Meanwhile, under another project, handicapped children suffering from malformed eyes, harelip and cleft palate will be operated on free of charge by 50 American and overseas Vietnamese professors, specialists, psychologists, and volunteers from the Project Việt Nam Foundation on 9-13 March.

In addition, the group will deliver free medicines and examine for around 1,200 children and 600 poor adults in some communes of Hà Nam Province.

It is reported that the Foundation often holds walking campaigns to raise fund for the poor.
