International economic cooperation to be improved
VNGOP – Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm presided over a meeting on September 21 with leaders of the ministries of Home Affairs, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Justice, Finance, Planning and Investment on the organizational structure of the National Committee for International Economic Cooperation and the Governmental Delegations for International Economic and Trade Negotiations.

The participants made suggestions on functions, obligations and power of the National Committee, its organization and leaders.
They also assessed the performance of the Governmental delegations for international economic and trade negotiations over the past time, especially in the negotiations for WTO accession. Most of the participants agreed that it is necessary to organize governmental negotiation delegations in a strict and effective way in the time to come, especially in taking part in the Doha Round./.
