Inforgaphics: Outsourcing facts and figures
VGP - Viet Nam had 1,740 outsourcing companies in 2016, creating one million jobs, according to a general economic census released recently by the General Statistics Office.

This is the first time, the General Statistics Office incorporated this kind of information in the general economic census.
The export value of outsourced products was US$32 billion, making up more than 18% of Viet Nam’s total export revenues.
The top outsourcing areas included garments and textiles, footwear, electronics, and phones, the census shows.
Outsourcing companies gained US$ 8.6 billion in profits in 2016 but the majority of the companies were owned by foreign investors. Vietnamese companies’ profits only accounted for 26.4%./.
