Indochinese auditors enhance cooperation
VGP - Việt Nam-funded projects in Laos and Cambodia as well as those of these two neighboring countries in Việt Nam will be audited in the time to come.
Leaders of State audit agencies of Việt Nam, Laos and Cambodia reached the consensus on Monday in Hà Nội.
The agencies will jointly conduct auditing projects and programs, assist each other to build auditing institutions, mechanisms and activities, help insert auditing cooperation into inter-governmental cooperative programs, and sign joint documents for raising their status and role in international auditing organizations.
In the short term, a list of projects to be audited will be made, focusing on hydro-electricity, tourist and environment projects. The H5N1-related joint projects will be audited too.
Leaders of the three State audit agencies decided to hold their meetings annually on a rotating basis to raise the efficiency of cooperative activities. The next meeting will be organized in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
