It is estimated that around 50,000 visitors and pilgrims visited the Pagoda on the opening day of the festival.

Mr. Nguyễn Chí Thanh, Deputy Head of the festival organizing committee said that over 150,000 visitors have flocked to the pagoda since the second day of the New Year.

Tourism and visiting activities are organized more orderly this year, according to the organizing committee.

Food and beverage are also arranged tidily and served with better safety and hygiene.

Particularly, local people’s attitude of service has changed positively with  the aim to create nice cultural impression on the tourists and pilgrims.

The festival, the longest one in Việt Nam, will last to the end of March this year.

The Perfume Pagoda is in fact a vast complex of Buddhist temples and shrines built into the limestone Hương Tích mountains.
