Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2015 closes

VGP - Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2015 closed in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue on May.

Themed “Quintessence of Vietnamese crafts”, the five-day event attracted about 250 artisans from 38 traditional handicraft villages in the country and artisans from the Republic of Korea and Japan to take part.

A lot of tours to visit craft villages in Thua Thien Hue Province operated. Various activities were held, including fashion shows on brocade products, exhibitions on traditional crafts, competition on some traditional crafts in schools, meetings and ceremonies to honour artisans, seminars and street festivals.

Before the closing ceremony, ceremonials to remember the ancestors of traditional crafts andhonour traditional artisans and craft villages were launched.

The festival took place at streets lying along the Huong River in Hue City.
