Hue City opens first book street
VGP - The first book street in Hue city has opened at Hai Ba Trung street in Vinh Ninh ward, aimed at promoting a reading culture among citizens.

Various types of old and used books in various genres are available here such as children’s books, literature, society, culture and medicine books, and books in English and French languages.
Visitors will enjoy a discount of up to 30%-50% on books and documents displayed at Hai Ba Trungbook street on its opening period.
Director of the Book-Hue C&C Joint Stock Company Ha Huy Chien said this is an open space for all people to read books, noting that his company has also invited two book companies to directly sell books to Hue readers at reasonable prices.
The annual Viet Nam Book Day has become a much loved festival of the community and an important cultural event in its own right. Events honouring the reading culture will take place in various regions nationwide.
According to Director of the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution, Hoa, the Viet Nam Book Day 2018 is also a premise to review the five-year implementation of Decision No. 284 / QD-TTg on Viet Nam Book Day.
Over recent years, Viet Nam Book Day has become more and more widely spread, contributing to the development of the publishing industry, and is an occasion to spread reading cultural values to the people.
