Hoi An welcomes 3.2 million visitors in 2017

VGP –Hoi An City in the central province of Quang Nam welcomed 3.22 million visitors in 2017, a year-on-year increase of 21.66%.

The information was released at a meeting on Hoi An City’s socio-economic development performance in 2017 and orientations in 2018.    

The 3.22 million visitors included 1.78 million foreigners and 1.44 million domestic visitors. 

As many as 2.38 million tourists  visited Hoi An Ancient Town, up 28.16% and 400,000 ones went to Cu Lao Cham Island. 

Up to1.45 million guests stayed in Hoi An Ancient Town. 

Hoi An Ancient Town is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.
