VGP - The Ha Noi Center for Disease Control (CDC) has strongly recommended that residents with COVID-19 symptoms should inform their nearest medical facilities for advice and swab collection.

August 02, 2021 12:55 PM GMT+7

In an urgent notice on August 2 in the wake of COVID-19 spikes in the capital city, the CDC urged people with symptoms of fever, tiredness, cough, shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste or a reduced ability to smell or taste to immediately contact to local medical facilities for instructions and swab collection.

People can contact hotline numbers: 0969082115 or 0949396115.

As of July 5, 1,033 locally-transmitted cases have been confirmed in Ha Noi where strict social distancing measures have been in place since 6:00 am on July 24.

On August 1, the Municipal People’s Committee issued an official dispatch asking subordinate authorities not to allow local residents to leave city during the current social distancing period.

The city’s administration also asked central and local agencies, units and socio-political organizations, as well as diplomatic corps and international organizations in the city to strictly abide by social distancing rules and only allow a few staff to work at office.

Subordinate authorities were requested to conduct COVID-19 vaccinations promptly, ensuring an equal and transparent vaccine access.

On July 30, the city kicked off the construction of a field hospital with 500-700 beds for treating COVID-19 patients who are in critical health condition, which is expected to be put into operation by the end of August./.
