PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asked the municipal government to design and approve large-scale celebratory activities and organize their maneuver.

The Government leaders also assigned relevant ministries and agencies to allocate sufficient funds for Hà Nội to complete all projects for the grand anniversary on schedule.

It is reported that major activities of the grand anniversary are the opening ceremony (October 1 morning); the main anniversary (October 10 morning); and a gala (October 10 evening).

Over the past time, Hà Nội has linked hands with mass media to launch many websites on its 1000th anniversary.

UNESCO issued a resolution on the 1000th anniversary of Thăng Long–Hà Nội, approved (1st round) the profiles on the vestige site of Thăng Long Imperial Citadel, and recognized doctoral stone steles in Hà Nội’s Temple of Literature as the World Documentary Heritage.

Organizations and individuals, at home and abroad, have enthusiastically joined in realizing many projects to welcome the grand event, such as the Statue of Genie Gióng, the Pottery Road along the Red River; and the documentary film “Thăng Long – The Rising Dragon City.”
