Ha Noi pledges favourable conditions for Japanese investors

VGP - Deputy Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toan in Ha Noi on November 7 received Seiji Suzuki, President of the Japan Friendship Parliamentary Alliance in Saitama Prefecture.

At the reception, Seiji Suzuki stressed the prefecture wants to invest in Viet Nam, particularly Ha Noi, with 34 Saitama enterprises already operating in the city.

He said his visit aims to boost cooperation between Saitama and Ha Noi.

In turn, Deputy Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toan briefed his guest on the capital’s socio–economic progress and growth forecasts. 

He said Ha Noi is focusing on attracting investment in infrastructure, industrial parks and high-tech application, to create jobs and form a high-quality workforce.

Mr. Toan hoped Saitama’s investment in Ha Noi would rise in the future.

Currently Japan is the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) provider for Ha Noi with over 800 projects totally worth US$5.2 billion, notably including the Thang Long Industrial Zone, Canon Group’s projects and the Aeon Long Bien Trade Centre.
