Ha Noi chairman receives outgoing South African ambassador

Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung  receives the outgoing ambassador of South Africa to Viet Nam Kgomotso Ruth Magau, Ha Noi, December 11, 2017

At the reception, Ambassador Kgomotso Ruth Magau  said the tree planting festival created a chance for representatives from  diplomatic agencies in Viet Nam to join in building a better living environment for local residents. 

She voiced her hope that the municipal People’s Committee will create the best possible conditions for her replacement to fulfil his mission in promoting bilateral ties between the two countries.

In turn, Chung expressed his hope that Kgomotso Ruth Magau, in her new position, will continue to build the relationship between South Africa and Viet Nam, and Ha Noi in particular, along with promoting collaboration between their businesses. 

The Ha Noi official recalled the ambassador’s participation in the recent tree planting festival in the capital city, saying that her presence along with other ambassadors at the event contributed to the programme to plant 1 million trees in the city from 2016-2020.
