Hà Nội – an attraction for foreign investors

Hà Nội’s expansion has become its advantage in attracting foreign investment. At present, the capital city has tripped in size, with a population of 6.2 million people. It boasts an abundant workforce and low labor costs as assessed by FDI enterprises.

Investors hold that Hà Nội in particular and Việt Nam in general are considered increasingly attractive destinations. Foreign investors are willing to pour money in building hospitals, hotels, factories, and banking.

This year, Hà Nội expects to attract 300 projects with a registered capital of between US $2-3 billion. The city has set out its yearly GDP growth rate of 13%. By 2010, it tries to pull in another US $5 billion of FDI capital.
