HN to host forum on climate response

VGP – Hundreds of foreign experts will come to Viet Nam to discuss situations, solutions, and human power in response to climate change.

The Viet Nam National University hosted a press conference on November 7 to announce Ha Noi Forum 2018 titled “Towards sustainable Development – Climate change response for sustainability and security.” The event will run from November 8 to 11 in Ha Noi. 

The international academic conference is also hosted by the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS), the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. 

The forum will attract nearly 500 delegates including country leaders, former leaders, leaders of enterprises and international organizations, scholars, and famous scientists.

The event aims at promoting the goal of inclusive and sustainable development for all. It encourages interdisciplinary research that push knowledge limits in understanding socio-economic growth and conservation, interactions between human and the environment, prosperity and equality.

Areas of interests include (1) Climate change evidence and security; (2) Human impacts on climate change; (3) Climate change response; (4) Policy and governance of climate change response and sustainability; (5) Science, technology and education for climate change response and sustainability./.
