HCMC receives US $333 million of FDI
VGP - Hồ Chí Minh City licensed 39 foreign-invested projects with the total registered capital of US $333.4 million in the first two months of this year, said the Municipal Department of Planning and Investment.
About 29 projects are licensed in February
alone; 27 out of them are stationed
outside of the export
processing zones and industrial parks.

The department’s Vice Director,
Mr. Lư Thanh Phong, said the city is focusing on luring foreign direct
investment (FDI) in high growing capacity sectors such as engineering,
automation, biotechnology, information technology and new materials.
Between January and February, Hồ Chí Minh City
saw 5 operational FDI projects raising their
capital.
The city plans to attract total FDI of US $8.4 billion this
year.
