HCMC provides social houses to low-income people

VGP – Hồ Chí Minh City has issued regulations on social housing so as to guarantee that the low-income people can fully benefit the policy.

December 21, 2008 5:03 PM GMT+7

The decision aims to help the low-income earners to settle their living conditions

Accordingly, social houses are not resold or transferred under any circumstance. However, they can only be inherited.

Those who want to rent or buy social houses include civil servants, military officers, servicemen working within the City and others with outstanding performance recognized by the municipal authority.

The above people must serve at least three years, receive salary from the State budget and still do not have their own house.

The decision gives priority to those who have just got married or their houses are two small.

- Rent price of social low-storeyed houses in rural areas: VND 13,000-20,000/m2/month

- Rent price of social apartments: VND 15,000-28,000/m2/month

- Price of social houses for purchase: at least VND 18,000/m2/month, and the first payment is 20% of the house’s value.
