Mayor Hur Nam-sik made the statement during his two-day visit to Hồ Chí Minh City (HCMC) on June 9-10 to figure out projects for cooperation between the two sea ports.

He added that numerous RoK's enterprises are pleased with their business performance in HCMC in particular and South Việt Nam in general, wishing to expand activities there.

Meeting the Busan's leader, HCMC Party Committee Secretary Lê Thanh Hải suggested the two cities early establish a cooperative mechanism and set specific targets for more fruitful cooperation commensurate to the Việt Nam-RoK strategic partnership.

The two cities will celebrate the 15th anniversary of twin-city relationship in 2010.

Many agreements inked by the two municipal authorities are being successfully implemented, especially in exchanging civil servants, preparing for the opening of representative offices, promoting tourism and cultural exchange, teaching Vietnamese and Korean languages, and supporting activities of friendly associations.
In addition, both sides have regularly exchanged delegations to acquire experience of developing and managing real estate market, transport, post and telecommunications, and construction./.
