HCM City leaders congratulate Lao Party on its 60th anniversary

VGP - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Vo Van Thuong and other municipal officials visited the Lao Consulate General in the city on March 23 to congratulate the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) on their 60th founding anniversary.

Mr. Thuong spoke highly of the significant achievements made under the leadership of the LPRP while meeting with Lao Consul General Southideth Phommalat.

He expressed his delight at the sustainably growing friendship and faithful relationship between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the LPRP, the two States and the two peoples.

Lao Consul General Southideth Phommalat thanked the good sentiments of Vietnam towards Laos, saying that over the past 60 years the LPRP has received a lot of  support from the Communist Party of Viet Nam.

Viet Nam has been actively involved in human resource training for Laos, and many Vietnamese enterprises are operating productively in Laos, contributing substantially to the host nation’s development, the diplomat added.

The consul general confirmed the relationship between the two countries is solid and expressed his confidence that future generations will build and deepen the relationship between the two countries in general and between Lao localities and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
