Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong receives Polish President Adrej Duda,  Ho Chi Minh City,  November 30, 2017

At the reception, President Andrzej Duda said he was impressed by Ho Chi Minh City’s dynamic development, stressing that Poland is interested in the Vietnamese southern metropolis and has selected the city to locate the first representative office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

The leader expressed his hope that following his visit, Poland and Viet Nam, including Ho Chi Minh City, will make greater efforts to enhance the two countries’ relations across fields.

The visit is also expected to help create more cooperation opportunities for Vietnamese and Polish businesses, he added.

In turn, Mr. Phong held that Vietnamese people’s warm sentiments towards Polish people are an important foundation for the two countries to forge stronger bilateral economic, trade, and cultural cooperation in the future.

The Chairman described President Duda’s visit to Viet Nam as an important milestone in the all-round partnership between Poland and Viet Nam in general and between the country and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

As the biggest economic hub of Viet Nam, the city always welcomes Polish investors and is willing to foster economic, trade and investment collaboration with Poland, he stated.
