HCM City People’s Council has new Chairwoman

VGP - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and head of the committee’s Organization Commission Nguyen Thi Le, was elected as the new Chairwoman of the 9th People’s Council of the city for the 2016 – 2021 tenure.

Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and head of the committee’s Organization Commission Nguyen Thi Le, is elected as the new Chairwoman of the 9th People’s Council of the city for the 2016 – 2021 tenure

Ms. Le, born in 1967, was elected to the new position by winning 93.54% of the total votes (93 approvals among 104 delegates) at the 13th meeting of the council.

She was appointed as Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee and head of the committee’s Organization Commission on April 1, 2018.

Participants also voted to dismiss Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam from the position of the Chairperson, Truong Thi Anh from Vice Chairperson. Meanwhile, Huynh Cach Mang was also removed from the position of Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee.
