Gov’t works to promote child development

VGP - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a project on infrastructure development for preschool and general education during the 2017-2025 period.

The project aims to ensure physical, mental and spiritual development of children aged from 0 to 8, and offer them equal access to care services for all-round development, in order to realize children’s rights and contribute to national human resources development. 

Specifically, in the 2017-2020 period, regarding preschool education, 4,300 class rooms will be built in order to replace temporary ones. Meanwhile, 3,070 physical and artistic education rooms, 1,220 kitchens and storehouses will be constructed. Over 1,020 outdoor toys will be installed. 

Regarding primary education, 5,900 classrooms will be built. The project will cover 3,420 libraries, 39,070 teaching equipment; and 1,980 foreign language teaching equipment. 

In respect for secondary and high schools, 5,670 class rooms and 790 libraries will be built. Up to 8,220 computers and 5,900 foreign language teaching equipment will be purchased. 

In the 2021-2025 period, schools and classrooms will be repaired./.
