Gov’t to speed up popularization of Militia Law

VGP - PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has just approved a project on the popularization of the Law on Militia in an effort to raise the public awareness and sense of responsibility in enforcing the law and related legal documents.

September 02, 2010 10:15 AM GMT+7

Militia is an indispensible component of Việt Nam’s Armed Force

The project will be deployed in two years in all ministries, sectors, and localities throughout the country.

Under the project, 63 communal-level models will be built in order to disseminate the Law in line with local specific conditions. The models then will be reviewed and spread nationwide.

Tests will be applied over all military commanders at all levels to check their knowledge of the Law on Militia.

Written contests will also be organized to make sure that all citizens are well aware of the Law.

The project requires the People’s Army Newspaper, the Voice of Việt Nam, and the Việt Nam Television to open new columns and programs on the organization, construction, activities and policies on the militia force.
