Gov’t to review poverty reduction policies
VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has released a plan to screen and integrate poverty reduction policies in the 2017-2018 period.
All ministries, agencies, and localities were asked to review impacts of poverty reduction policies; assess impacts of policy implementation; and propose amendments with a view to minimizing shortcomings, number of documents, and ensuring progress.
Specifically, support policies on education-training, production, labor-employment, ethnic minorities, electricity subsidies, information, communications, and poverty reduction will be examined.
Ministries, agencies, and localities were asked to propose mechanisms and solutions to guaranteeing residents' better access to social services in multi-dimensional approaches; apply mechanisms which combine resources for the implementation of 21 target programs with the National Target Program on poverty reduction.
