The Law on Planning and the Law amending 37 planning-related laws was approved by the National Assembly at its fourth working session.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy PM Dung underlined the significance of the Law on Planning as its covers many sectors of the economy and many new concepts are introduced for the first time, including the 10-year overall national planning scheme.

To realize the Law on Planning, the Government promulgated Resolution No. 11/ND-CP dated February 5, 2019 which defines concrete tasks that ministries, sectors and localities shall have to undertake.

However, the law has been slowly deployed and some new concepts have been understood differently, said the Deputy PM.

At the conference, leaders of ministries, agencies and localities will focus on discussing outcomes as well as ways to fix obstacles during the implementation process./.
