Gov’t responds to natural response tasks

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc requested that ministries, agencies, and localities rashly overcome consequences of the tropical storm, heavy flooding and rainfalls.

Deputy PM Trinh Dinh Dung signed a PM’s public telegraph on response and surmounting flooding consequences of the third tropical storm. 

The document was sent to People’s Committees of Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Son La, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Hoa Binh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Phu Tho, Nghe An, the National Committee on Incident, Disaster Response and Search and Rescue, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, ministries of national defence, public security, agriculture and rural development, transport, industry and trade, construction, education and training, information and communications, healthcare, natural resources and environment. 

The PM conveyed his condolences to families of natural disaster victims and shared difficulties and losses. 

The Thanh Hoa provincial People’s Committee and relevant localities were asked to evacuate people in vulnerable areas to safer places; find missing persons; visit and encourage affected families; supply emergency food and necessary commodities; ensure transport safety; support people to repair houses and damaged infrastructure work. 

The National Committee on Incident, Disaster Response and Search and Rescue, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security were asked to work with the military to find missing people and support local residents to overcome natural disaster consequences. 

The Ministry of Transport was assigned to rashly amend outbreaks at national roads and fix landslides.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade were urged to timely repair hydro-electric dams.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was asked to prevent floods.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment was requested to keep a close watch on rainfalls and floods and timely provide information./.
