Gov’t releases regular resolution for July

VGP – The Government asked all sectors and levels to take drastic measures to attain the set 6.7% GDP growth.

Tightening financial disciplines

The Government asked the Ministry of Planning and Investment to work with relevant ministries and agencies to review and update growth scenarios for every sector; report to the PM before August 20; work with relevant ministries and agencies to remove inappropriate business conditions.

Ministries, agencies, and localities were asked to implement Resolution 70/NQ-CP, dated August 3, 2017 on key measures and solutions to speed up disbursement progress of public investment projects, private investment, ODA, and FDI projects; strive for higher social investment capital (about 34-35% of GDP).

The State Bank of Viet Nam was assigned to regulate the monetary policies towards lower lending interest rates; work with other ministries and agencies to promote preferential loans especially in high-tech and clean farming.

The Ministry of Finance was asked to tighten disciplines and State budget; prevent tax losses especially at non-State economic sector, household businesses; develop the stock market; and put the derivatives market into operation.

Striving for 3.05% growth pace of agriculture

The Government assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to control import, reduce trade deficit, promote export, improve trade promotion activities.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was instructed to take all measures to ensure the 3.05% growth pace is met; earn US$ 33 billion of export turnover; and promote high-tech application.

Expanding Tan Son Nhat airport soon

The Ministry of Transport was asked to improve the operation of Cai Mep – Thi Vai seaport and expand international Tan Son Nhat airport.

The Ministry of Construction was assigned to review construction licenses and develop parts of real estates and the real estate market.

Preventing dengue outbreak

The Ministry of Education and Traing was asked to prepare for the new school year; accelerate educational reform; develop high-quality manpower.

The Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs was requested to work with localities to effectively implement the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction; and conduct social welfare policies for ethnic minority groups and people in far-reaching areas.

The Ministry of Health was assigned to carry out preventive measures to combat the dengue epidemic and diseases after flood season.  

Preparing for APEC Summit Week 2017

The Ministry of Public Security was asked to ensure political security, social safety, especially during the APEC Summit Week.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs bears the prime responsibility for high-level diplomatic events.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism was urged to attract 13-15 million foreign tourists in 2017./.
