Gov’t okays HN’s millennial anniversary meeting program
VGP – The PM recently approved the program to mark the capital’s 1000th birthday at the Ba Đình Square, Hà Nội on October 10.

According to the newly-approved decision, the national-level meeting will be held solemnly, vividly illustrating the cultural identities and traditions of the 1000-year-old capital.
Specifically, on October 9, leaders of the Party, State, Central Committee of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front, People’s Committee of Hà Nội, representatives of ministries and localities will pay a tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh at his Mausoleum.
On October 10, a grand meeting will be organized at the Ba Đình Square.
After the State President delivers the opening speech, a thousand doves and balloons will be released into the sky. Then, the performance of a squadron of ten helicopters, carrying national flags, Party flags, and red silk banners, will kick-start the military parade with the participation of nearly ten thousand people.
The meeting will be broadcast live on television and radio./.
