Gov’t issues regular resolution for March

VGP – The Government requested that ministries, agencies, localities, SOEs fulfill tasks and plans for 2019; comprehensively resolve social issues and extricate business difficulties.

Six solutions in favor of economic growth

Specifically, the Government tasks ministries, agencies, and localities to accelerate economic restructuring and implement six solutions to boost economic growth in 2019 including (1) extricating difficulties; boosting production, agro-forestry-fishery export; (2) optimizing FTA opportunities; (3) developing the processing and manufacturing industries; (4) boosting the service sector especially wholesale and retail sales, logistics, tourism, IT, finance, and banking); (5) speeding up disbursement rate; (6) transforming the investment and business environment.

The State Bank of Viet Nam will regulate the monetary policies in a flexible and active manner to control inflation; ensure macro-economic stability; support and promote growth. 

Strictly enforcing financial disciplines

The Government tasks the Ministry of Finance to enforce financial and state budget disciplines; restructure State budget; cut regular spending; speed up SOEs equitization process and non-core investment withdrawals; implement e-invoices; and prevent tax loss. 

The Ministry of Planning and Investment was asked to promptly prepare growth scenarios for Q2, the second half, the first nine months, and the whole year for ministries, agencies, and localities to take drastic management measures; perfect the Project on regulations and policies to raise the quality and efficiency of FDI attraction by 2030./.
