Gov’t issues regular meeting resolution for November

VGP – The Government tasks ministries, agencies, and localities to spare no effort to fulfil the set targets; accelerate the administrative reform; boost production and business activities; and strive for socio-economic development norms and budget estimate for 2017.

The tasks are stipulated at the Government’s Resolution 131/NQ-CP with the following key tasks. 

Supervising monetary market

Specifically, the State Bank of Viet Nam will continue to keep a close watch on the domestic and foreign monetary market, especially at the year end. 

The Ministry of Planning and Investment was assigned to work with ministries, agencies, and localities to accelerate the disbursement of capital of public investment projects under Resolution 70/NQ-CP, dated August 3, 2017; review the efficiency of public investment projects which spent less incentive investment such as ordinary capital resources (OCR) of the Asian Development Bank, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) of the World Bank (WB) to report to the PM to seek appropriate loan resources; ensure public investment efficiency; prevent corruption and wastefulness and groups’ benefits. 

Ministries, agencies, localities, and State groups and corporations were asked to take drastic steps to speed up the equitization process; accelerate withdrawal of State capital. 

Stimulating demands

The Ministry of Finance was assigned to exercise financial and budget disciplines; prevent loss of revenues, tax debts; save regular spending; investigate the enforcement of the legal regulations on prices, taxes, fees; supervise the market; prevent illegal trade and smuggling at the year end. 

The Ministry of Industry and Trade was assigned to keep a close watch on import policies of other countries; supervise demand and supply of commodities especially essential ones; promote production and consumption at the year end and the coming Lunar New Year Festival.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was asked to cooperate with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to surmount natural disaster consequences; prevent hunger; restore production; take positive steps to prevent forest fires especially during dry seasons; and prevent illegal fishing in foreign waters./.
