Gov’t expects to lure15 million foreign arrivals in 2018

VGP – The Government sets goal to attract around 15 million turns of foreign arrivals in 2018, according to its latest Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP issued on January 1, 2018.

Inbound tourism sharply grew over the past two years, reaching all-time high of nearly 1,3 million in 2017, official statistics show.

The Government also expects to lower the poverty rate by 1.5% and urban unemployment rate to below 4% while increasing insurance healthcare coverage to above 88.5%.

The Cabinet plans to reduce tax arrears to below 5% of the country’s total budget revenues and keep overspending rate at around 3.7% of the GDP.

Export revenues are expected to increase between 8-10% and trade deficit will be kept under 3% of the total export value./.
