The meeting was attended by Deputy PMs: Truong Hoa Binh, Pham Binh Minh, Vuong Dinh Hue, Trinh Dinh Dung and several ministers.

This year’s growth is of significant importance as it will affect other macro-economic indicators, especially budget collection and spending, and public debt situation.

2017 is also the second year Viet Nam has implemented the five-year socio-economic development plan for 2016-2020, thus growth outcomes would affect the overall realization of preset targets for the whole period.

Speaking at the meeting, PM Phuc urged Deputy PMs and ministers to actively take measures in order to realize the growth target of 6.7% this year.

He tasked the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance and the State Bank of Viet Nam to report on specific solutions to accelerate growth and ensure macro-economic stability./.
