Gov’t chief welcomes Cambodian Minister of Planning

At the reception, PM Phuc welcomed the working visit of Minister Chhay Than as an illustration of the fine developments in the Viet Nam-Cambodia neighboring  relations, traditional friendship and comprehensive and long-term cooperation between the two countries. 

He congratulated Cambodia on its economic growth achievement at 7% which was graded by the ADB, WB and IFM as the sixth country with the highest growth rate in the world. 

The host leader expressed his pleasure to witness the outstanding developments in the friendly relation and comprehensive cooperation in the bilateral ties. 

PM Phuc praised the two planning  ministers for reaching a common agreement framework on economic connectivity through 2030 and suggested the two sides soon outlining a master scheme in economic connectivity by 2030. 

The PM was convinced that the two ministries would continue to uphold the cooperative tradition to cement an deepen the fine neighbor, traditional relations, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term cooperation and support each other in national building and development.  

In return, Minister Chhay Than informed that during the working visit he hoped to cement and deepen cooperation between the Cambodian Minister of Planning and the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment. 

The Party, State and people of Cambodia always bear in mind and treasure the valuable support of Vietnamese peers in national development, said Minister Chhay Than.

Minister Chhay Than also announced that the recent successful talks with his Vietnamese counterpart dealt with a string of measures to boost cooperation and draft the Viet Nam-Cambodia connectivity program./.
