Gov’t chief praises constructive actions of Ha Noi’s leaders

At the “Ha Noi 2017 – Investment and Development Cooperation,” the authorities of Ha Noi presented decisions approving investment proposals and investment licenses for 48 projects with a total registered capital of over VND 74 trillion VND (3.25 billion USD).

At the event, which saw the attendance of representatives from 50 countries and territories and more than 600 domestic and foreign investors, the city and investors also signed 15 memoranda of understanding worth nearly VND 135 trillion (US$ 5.94 billion).  

Speaking at the event, Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai introduced a list of projects seeking investment,  including 17 projects in PPP model with a total capital of VND 802.7 trillion and 119 others in social engagement modal worth VND 303,8 trillion.

Addressing the event, PM Phuc hailed the organization of the conference and praised responsible, wholehearted and straightforward opinions of delegates.  

The Government and PM would collect those feedback then turn them into action, Mr. Phuc affirmed.

According to PM Phuc, the spirit of honest, constructive, active, and serving Government has been responded by the business community. In a large number of localities, the innovative spirit has been spread, especially in Ha Noi.

On this occasion, PM Phuc affirmed that the constructive Government would not stop at words but translate actions, together with sectors, agencies, and localities.

The Capital has expanded at an average rate of 9.5% over the last 20 years. The local economy made up 13.6% of the national economic scale (from 8.2% in the past) and contributed over 16.5% to the State budget. It also upheld associating strength with surrounding provinces and cities.

Hence, Ha Noi must kick off business start-up dreams. To attract more investors and talent, PM Phuc called on the Capital City to take effective actions and carry out measures to connect businesses and attract the involvement of residents and both domestic and international enterprises in building the city.

The city was urged to continue upgrading the business and investment environment; consolidate business confidence; improve its provincial competitiveness index (PCI); better education and health care services.

PM Phuc requested that Ha Noi improved planning work; develop urban areas; and better social infrastructure./.
